Destiny George of Ottos Comprehensive School has begun her culinary internship at Keyonna Beach Resort Antigua through the Taste of Wadadli Junior Chef Academy 2026.

George, the programme’s sixth featured junior chef, is being mentored by Chef Patrick Brown. During the internship, she will gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen while developing her culinary and hospitality skills.

The internship runs from July 13 to Aug. 21, followed by a cook-off competition from Aug. 25 to 28. The programme will conclude with a closing ceremony on Sept. 3.

One outstanding participant will be selected as the top junior chef and earn an opportunity to represent Antigua and Barbuda at the Junior Lit’l Chef Camp in Turks and Caicos in 2027.

The academy is presented by the Antigua and Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association, the Ted Isaac Family and Global Ports Holding, which operates Antigua Cruise Port.
