The Antigua & Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association (ABAVA), in collaboration with the Association of National Olympic Committees of the Eastern Caribbean (ANOCES) and the Antigua and Barbuda National Olympic Committee (ABNOC), is pleased to announce the departure of Antigua & Barbuda’s national beach volleyball delegation to St. Kitts & Nevis for a week of regional development and competition taking place from 7–12 July 2026.
The week’s activities form part of a regional initiative led by ANOCES, bringing together National Olympic Committees from across the region in a celebration of sport, athlete development, and regional collaboration.
Complementing this initiative, the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) has organized a comprehensive week of volleyball activities, including development programmes for coaches and officials alongside the 2026 ECVA Under-20 Beach Volleyball Championship.
Through the continued support of ANOCES and ABNOC, Antigua & Barbuda will proudly be represented at the Championship by Miguel Peña Lugo, George Freeland, Philisha Burnette, and Faith Gibson.
Leading the national teams are Head Coaches Jamarie James and Rosemarie Simon, who will guide and mentor the athletes throughout the championship as they compete against some of the Eastern Caribbean’s most promising young beach volleyball talent.
ABAVA extends its sincere gratitude to ANOCES for its leadership in fostering regional sporting collaborations.
The Association also expresses appreciation to ABNOC for its continued investment in the development of volleyball and to ECVA for organizing a week of meaningful development opportunities and high-level competition that continue to strengthen volleyball throughout the Eastern Caribbean.
As Team Antigua & Barbuda departs for St. Kitts & Nevis, ABAVA, ANOCES and ABNOC wish our athletes and coaches safe travels and every success throughout the championship.
