A second Canadian traveller has been remanded after cannabis was allegedly found in luggage at V.C. Bird International Airport, again on a Toronto flight.

Semand Vivan Shammo Aljndo, 23, was stopped after arriving on Air Canada flight AC1832 on March 21. Officers reportedly found 26 vacuum-sealed packages of cannabis, weighing about 26 pounds and valued at $208,000, in his suitcase.

He was denied bail and remanded on multiple drug charges. The case is set for May 13. Attorney Michael Archibald represents him.

His arrest follows a similar case earlier this month involving 48-year-old Roselynee Crisostomo, who was also held after more than 67 pounds of cannabis were reportedly found in her luggage on the same route. She too remains on remand, with her matter also set for May 13.
