Three Antiguan and Barbudan cricket umpires have earned recognition from Cricket West Indies, with Felix Auguste, Donald Sheckle and Melissa Lawrie securing places on regional umpiring panels.

The Antigua and Barbuda Cricket Association congratulated the trio on their achievements, describing the selections as a proud moment for the country and the local umpiring fraternity.

Auguste has earned a place on the Cricket West Indies Senior Panel, the highest of the three appointments announced.

Sheckle has been selected for the CWI Emerging Panel, while Lawrie has retained her position on the CWI Junior Panel.

The association praised the officials for their hard work, consistency and dedication to cricket, saying their achievements continue to raise the profile of Antigua and Barbuda’s umpiring programme.

All three have extensive experience officiating in domestic cricket. Previous reporting shows Auguste, Sheckle and Lawrie regularly serving as umpires in Antigua and Barbuda Cricket Association competitions, while Auguste and Sheckle have also represented the country in regional competition.

The association encouraged the officials to continue raising the standard and representing Antigua and Barbuda with distinction.
