Prime Minister Gaston Browne is expected to meet King Charles III this week before travelling to New York for engagements surrounding the United Nations General Assembly.

Speaking Saturday on the Browne and Browne Show, Browne said he will leave Antigua and Barbuda on Monday and have an audience with the King on Wednesday.

He also referred to another engagement on Thursday before returning to Antigua and Barbuda on Friday.

Browne said he will travel to the United States the following Monday for UN Week, where he is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with heads of government and other delegations.

However, the prime minister disclosed that he will not deliver a formal address to the UN General Assembly this year.

“I’m not making any formal statement at the UN this year, but I have a number of engagements, bilaterals in particular, with different heads of government and different delegations,” Browne said.

He added that he expects to attend engagements in Fiji and Australia during what he described as a busy two-month period.
