Carla Goodwin has earned her International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) Certified Personal Trainer certification, marking a new milestone in what began as her personal fitness journey.
Goodwin said the certification represents the start of a new chapter as she transitions into helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.
Although many people have encouraged her to pursue bodybuilding or offer personal training over the years, Goodwin said competing on stage has never been her ambition.
Instead, she said her focus has always been on promoting healthier lifestyles and helping people build sustainable habits that improve their overall quality of life.
Goodwin said completing the certification has given her a deeper understanding of human anatomy, exercise science and the role physical activity plays in preventing illness and improving long-term health.
As a strength and wellness coach, she plans to use that knowledge to help clients build functional strength, develop healthier routines and improve their everyday well-being.
She also expressed gratitude to those who supported and encouraged her throughout her journey, saying their belief in her motivated her to take the next step.
Goodwin’s certification qualifies her to provide professional personal training services through one of the fitness industry’s internationally recognized certification organizations.
