The Department of Environment temporarily closed its offices to the public on June 17 due to electrical work being carried out at its headquarters at Victoria Park in St. John’s.

In a public notice, the department said power would be unavailable for an extended period while the work was completed, making it necessary to suspend public services for the day.

The department advised that normal operations would resume on June 18 and thanked the public for its understanding.
