More than 31,000 applications have been processed under Antigua and Barbuda’s voter ID replacement programme, according to the latest figures released by the Electoral Commission.

The official report shows a cumulative total of 31,120 applications as of late April 2026, with 7,769 processed during the month alone. The exercise forms part of preparations for the upcoming general election.

St Peter recorded the highest completion rate at 90%, followed by All Saints West at 69% and St Mary’s South at 68%. Several constituencies, including St John’s Rural West and St John’s Rural South, remain just below 60% completion.

In terms of overall volume, St George registered the largest number of applications at 2,946, with All Saints West (2,723) and St John’s Rural West (2,668) also among the highest.

Weekly figures for 19–25 April show 817 replacement applications processed, with the busiest days earlier in the week. Daily totals peaked at 393 applications on 20 April and 335 on 21 April before tapering off in the following days.

The data also indicates a smaller number of new voter registrations during the same period, with 100 new applications recorded for the week.

The Commission has been urging eligible voters to complete the replacement process to ensure they are able to participate in the election, as efforts continue to increase coverage across all constituencies.
