St. John’s, Antigua — The Eastern Caribbean Amalgamated Bank (ECAB) has proudly contributed $6,000.00 in support of the upcoming 3rd Annual Sir Richie Richardson Charity Golf Day, scheduled for April 11, 2026, at the Cedar Valley Golf Club.
The annual event, spearheaded by West Indies cricket legend Sir Richie Richardson, raises funds for charitable causes in Antigua and Barbuda, with the Bright Minds Project (which assists children with disabilities and those from underprivileged backgrounds), and the Striving for Excellence Antigua Golf Academy (a junior golf development programme) named as this year’s recipients.
ECAB’s contribution underscores its commitment to community development.
ECAB Marketing Officer, Jessica Russell said, “We are excited about supporting this initiative. The Sir Richie Richardson Charity Golf Day represents more than just a sporting event—it’s a powerful platform for transforming lives. At ECAB, we believe in investing in our communities, and this event aligns perfectly with our mission to support youth development in Antigua and Barbuda.”
Sir Richie Richardson expressed his gratitude for the bank’s support: “I would like to thank ECAB-my bank, for being a part of the Sir Richie Richardson Charity Golf Day 2026.”
Last year’s event raised approximately $70,000, benefiting the selected charities and reinforcing the importance of corporate and community collaboration.
