Princess Margaret School has taken the early lead in both the girls’ and boys’ divisions after the first day of competition at the 2026 Ministry of Sport/Cool & Smooth/JOMA Caribbean National Interschools Track and Field Championships.

Results released after six events at the YASCO Sports Complex show Princess Margaret School on top of the female team standings with 44 points. Pares Secondary School sits in second place with 31 points, followed by St Anthony’s Secondary with 25.5 points.

All Saints Secondary holds fourth place with 22 points, while Ottos Comprehensive School rounds out the top five with 21.5 points.

Antigua Girls’ High School and Sir Novel Richards Academy are tied for sixth place with 19 points each, while Christ the King High School has 18 points. Clare Hall Secondary follows with 15 points, St Mary’s Secondary School has six, ABCAS five, and Island Academy one.

Princess Margaret School is also leading the male team standings with 37 points after six events. St Joseph Academy is second with 31 points, while All Saints Secondary holds third with 30.

Antigua Grammar School is fourth with 22 points and ABCAS sits fifth with 21. Pares Secondary School follows with 20 points, while Jennings Secondary has 18.

Clare Hall Secondary has accumulated 17 points and Island Academy has 11. Ottos Comprehensive School and St Anthony’s Secondary are tied on nine points each, while Irene B Williams Secondary has four points.

Sr Mc Chesney George and Sir Novel Richards Academy each have one point.

The championships continue over four days, with schools competing across a full programme of track and field events as they seek to claim the national interschools title.
