The Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda has backed a major new tourism investment, Reset Wellness Antigua , a development aimed at expanding the country’s footprint in the fast-growing global wellness market.

The project, presented to Cabinet by its principals, is designed to diversify the tourism sector beyond traditional sun-and-sand offerings by attracting longer-stay, higher-spending visitors while maintaining a low-density, environmentally sensitive footprint.

Located at Harmony Hall at Brown’s Bay Mill in Freetown near Non-Such Bay, the development will blend luxury wellness experiences with Antigua’s natural landscape.

During construction, the project is expected to generate between 150 and 200 direct jobs, with more than 90% of workers drawn locally. Once operational within 24 months, it is projected to create 80 to 120 permanent positions, including wellness practitioners, culinary staff, maintenance and administrative roles.

Sustainability features will include solar energy integration, passive cooling design, green roofs, native plant restoration and stormwater management systems.

The first phase will develop five of the 12-acre property and include approximately 172 units under the Citizenship by Investment Programme, with an investment exceeding US$40 million.

Cabinet has pledged full support, including concessions under CBI legislation, describing the project as part of a broader strategy to attract high-quality, sustainable tourism development and position Antigua and Barbuda within the expanding wellness and experiential travel market.
