The St. John’s Rural East Branch of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party has condemned the actions of a group of young men who were reportedly seen driving through the constituency in a white Toyota Vitz, wearing red ABLP shirts, while removing and interfering with campaign signs and posters of Hon. Maria Browne.

The branch described the behavior as unacceptable and unlawful, saying it runs contrary to the principles of fair and respectful campaigning. It said political expression, regardless of party affiliation, must be carried out with integrity and respect for the law.

The matter has been reported to police, and an investigation is underway. The branch said those responsible will be identified and held accountable.

It also urged the public to act responsibly and respect the democratic process, adding that there is no place in the country for that kind of conduct.
