ST. JOHN’S, Antigua and Barbuda — A community-driven initiative tied to Aunty Claudette’s Kiddies Fete has delivered a new public address system to Holy Trinity Primary School in Barbuda, organisers announced Saturday.

The donation, made by Soca Army, fulfills a promise stemming from last year’s event and forms part of a broader effort to reinvest in schools across the twin-island nation.

“This morning, Soca Army proudly fulfilled the promise made through Aunty Claudette’s Kiddies Fete by donating a PA system to Holy Trinity Primary School as part of our commitment to giving back to the community,” the group said in a statement.

Organisers said the initiative will expand in 2026, shifting focus from primary to secondary schools, with plans to supply musical instruments to 12 institutions, including Sir McChesney George Secondary School in Barbuda.

“This year, we are going even bigger. Aunty Claudette’s Kiddies Fete 2026 will focus on secondary schools, with our goal of providing musical instruments for the music rooms of 12 secondary schools,” the statement added.

The group also acknowledged the support of those who contributed to the success of last year’s event, noting that continued backing has made it possible to invest in youth development.

“Because of your support, we are able to continue investing in our youth, their talent, and their future,” the organisers said.

Reaffirming its connection to Barbuda, the group added: “Soca Army never forgets Barbuda. Aunty Claudette never forgets Barbuda.”

Organisers are encouraging public support for this year’s event, saying it aims to deliver an even greater impact across Antigua and Barbuda.
