ABLP candidate for St. Philip North Randy Baltimore has outlined a series of early, time-bound commitments focused on upgrading sports facilities and improving healthcare access, saying residents should hold him accountable for delivery if he is returned to office.

Speaking on ABS Television’s “Know Your Candidates” programme, Baltimore pointed to his first 100 days as a critical window to begin visible improvements, particularly in community infrastructure tied to youth development and public health.

“Yes, they’re still on my priority list for the first 100 days,” Baltimore said, referring to earlier pledges to upgrade sporting facilities and enhance operations at the Glanville’s Polyclinic.

He said work is already underway on several playing fields across the constituency, with lighting installed at facilities in Willikies and Glanvilles, while a basketball court in Newfield has been completed and illuminated. Additional upgrades, including lighting for football fields and the construction of bathroom facilities, are expected to begin shortly.

The candidate framed sports development as a key investment in young people, linking improved facilities to opportunities for growth and community engagement.

On healthcare, Baltimore said he will continue advocating for a stronger presence of medical professionals at the Glanville’s Polyclinic, aiming to improve both efficiency and access to care for residents in St. Philip North and surrounding communities.

“I’ll be advocating to make sure that we have doctors, different professionals in the medical field, to be there on a regular basis so that they could provide the necessary healthcare,” he said.

He also pointed to recent progress, including the opening of a pharmacy at the polyclinic and the pending deployment of an ambulance to serve the eastern communities, which he described as a major step toward faster emergency response times.

Baltimore said the structured timeline is intended to give constituents a clear benchmark against which to measure his performance, aligning with the accountability focus of the “Know Your Candidates” series.

“I want the residents of St. Philip’s North to hold me accountable for the promises and for the advocacy of the things that I put forward,” he said.

Baltimore is seeking re-election in the April 30 general election after winning the St. Philip North by-election last month with about 70 percent of the vote.
