Students took an active role in managing media operations during the handover of equipment to Sir McChesney George Secondary School, showcasing skills that extend beyond the field of play.

The Ministry of Sport Antigua and Barbuda said the exercise highlighted the wide range of opportunities sports can provide, including areas such as media, communications and event management.

Officials noted that involving students in the ceremony allowed them to gain hands-on experience, reinforcing the role of sports programmes in developing practical and transferable skills.

The ministry said it remains committed to ensuring students across Antigua and Barbuda can access and benefit from such opportunities, as part of ongoing efforts to support well-rounded development through sport.
