    National Youth Parliament Association Completes Election of Executive Committee and Youth Members of Parliament

    THE NYPAAB COMPLETES ELECTION OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AND YOUTH MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT

    The National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda (NYPAAB) is pleased to announce the completion of its electoral process, resulting in the full composition of the Executive Committee and Youth Parliament for the upcoming term.

    Following the earlier election of President Ezekiel Francois , Recruitment and Mobilization Officer Jordyn Roberts , Projects and Events Manager Lorianna Richards , and Financial Secretary Janiyah Winston , members convened to elect the remaining officers of the Association. Elected to serve are Rainer Santos Mercado as Vice President, Romario Hughes as General Secretary, Lutrell John as Public Relations Officer and Esther Mckenzie as External Affairs Officer.

    The Association also proudly announces the election of its Youth Members of Parliament, who will represent constituencies across Antigua and Barbuda while advancing the voice and interests of young people through parliamentary debate, advocacy, and civic engagement.

    The elected Youth MPs are as follows:

    Johanna Jacobs – St. Mary’s North
    Cyniya Ireland – All Saints West
    Celine Edwards – All Saints East and St. Lukes
    Jawan Jackson – St. Philip’s North
    Chrysean Jarvis – St Johns Rural South
    Alton Alcendor – St. Johns Rural West
    Daniel Taylor – St. Paul
    Leanna Browne – St. John’s City South

    (Youth Caretakers will be appointed for the remaining constituencies at a later date)

    President Ezekiel Francois welcomed the completion of the electoral process, noting that the newly elected team reflects the talent, diversity, and commitment of Antigua and Barbuda’s youth. He expressed confidence that both the Executive Committee and Youth Parliamentarians will work collaboratively to strengthen the Association and expand opportunities for meaningful youth participation in national development.

    NYPAAB extends its congratulations to all successful candidates and thanks every member who participated in the democratic process. The Association looks forward to a productive term focused on leadership development, civic engagement, policy discussion, and empowering the next generation of leaders.
