The Ministry of Sports has temporarily closed its offices and shifted staff to remote work arrangements until further notice.

The announcement was made in a public notice issued on Tuesday, June 9, by Director of Sports Heather Samuel-Daley.

“Please be advised that the Ministry of Sports is currently closed,” the notice stated, adding that staff “will be working remotely until further notice.”

No reason was provided for the closure, and the ministry did not indicate how long the arrangement is expected to remain in place.

Officials said further updates will be provided as information becomes available.

The ministry apologized for any inconvenience caused and thanked the public for its understanding and continued cooperation.
