Member of Parliament Kiz Johnson says he is committed to serving the people of St Philip’s South with “passion, courage, and action” after officially taking the Parliamentary Oath.
In a statement issued on Monday, Mr Johnson described the occasion as “a moment of great honor, responsibility, and purpose”.
He said he did not take the responsibility lightly and pledged to represent the hopes and aspirations of constituents in the area.
“I carry with me the hopes, voices, and aspirations of the people of St. Philip’s South,” he said.
Mr Johnson added that his role as MP was “more than a title” and described it as a promise to continue delivering for communities across the constituency.
“The work continues — The Bold Way FWD,” the statement concluded.
The Parliamentary Oath marks the formal process by which elected representatives assume their duties in Parliament.
