    MAN CHARGED WITH SHOOTING WITH INTENT AND FIREARM OFFENCES REMANDED TO PRISON

    St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda

    The police have formally charged 23-year-old Nathaniel Santana of Hatton, Gray’s Farm in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at Queen Elizabeth Highway on Sunday, April 26.

    Santana is accused of unlawfully and maliciously shooting at a 32-year-old resident of Grays Farm, and was charged with Shooting with Intent to Murder, Discharging a Firearm in a Public Place, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.

    He appeared before Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel in the St. John’s Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, where he was remanded to His Majesty’s Prison. The matter was adjourned until June 18, 2026.

    The police continue investigations into the matter.
