    Dear Editor,

I originally had no intention to get involved in the politics of St. Paul but a couple of things have forced me to comment on Alan Weston’s independent candidacy.

First of all, as a born Antiguan I have had a bugbear for years over the Caucasianisation of English Harbour. Now they are getting involved in our politics.

In these times when we are fighting for reparations, it seems that the slavery mentality has returned.

I have passed Weston’s Campaign Office on Dockyard Drive a couple of times and a whitey is running things. And who is this person, who has bought for Weston?

Does he have a work permit?, no permanent status ? But he wanted to take over the Sailing Academy for his own business. When he was not permitted so to do, he buys a local ‘boy’ to attack the system.

I could not interfere in his country, which produced the apartheid Afrikaans in South Africa.

I am attaching photos to show who is really supporting Weston. In fact, one CIP passport holder flew in to Antigua, to be one of the persons to nominate Weston. And only because they control him.

The second thing that really offended me is a comment by the know-it-all Eli Fuller, who called Weston, brave and a patriot.

Brave and patriotic to the highest bidder, after selling out your birth right. Is that how brave and patriotic are defined?

Weston’s grandfather, John Meade, the late ALP diehard and VC Bird’s right hand, must be spinning in his grave.
