A Fort Road man remains in critical condition after he was shot multiple times outside his home early Friday, police said.

Louis Armstrong Jr. was rushed to Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre after unknown assailants opened fire, striking him in the face and upper torso.

He suffered major blood loss and is in the Intensive Care Unit under close medical supervision.

Authorities say Armstrong Jr. is in dire need of blood as doctors work to stabilize him.

The motive for the shooting remains unclear. This is a developing story.
