    Akelo Andre of Gambles charged with multiple firearm-related offences

    Police have arrested and charged 28-year-old Sedeki Akelo Andre of Gambles with multiple firearm-related offences.

    Around 2:00 a.m on Sunday, November 16, Narcotics Officers were conducting an operation on Perry Bay Main Road, when they saw the accused and carried out a search his person.

    He was found in possession of a Taurus 9mm Pistol and Seven (7) matching rounds of ammunition.

    He was arrested and taken into custody and is now charged with unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition.

    He is expected to appear before the court to answer the charges.

    The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda continues to crack down on illegal firearms and ammunition as part of its broader crime-fighting strategy.

    Members of the public are encouraged to contact the police with any information regarding illegal weapons or suspicious activities.
