The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority recently had the pleasure of hosting Juliet Bodley, also known as Julie Mango, a Speaker, Actress, Creator, and Mental Health Advocate, during her visit to the destination.
Juliet served as the guest speaker at the Women’s Day VIP Conference, where she delivered an inspiring presentation focused on wellness, empowerment, and mental health awareness.
While on island, Juliet also immersed herself in Antigua and Barbuda’s vibrant culture and local experiences. She visited the local market, where she explored the lively atmosphere and discovered a variety of fresh produce and locally made goods that highlight the richness of Antiguan and Barbudan culture.
Another memorable experience during her visit was participating in a chocolate-making class at the Antigua Chocolate Factory, where she learned about the process of crafting artisanal chocolate and the importance of supporting locally produced products.
Juliet also spent time at Local, a space dedicated to showcasing products made by Antiguan and Barbudan entrepreneurs and artisans. There, she gained valuable insight into the creativity and craftsmanship behind the island’s locally produced goods.
The visit offered a glimpse into the experiences visitors can enjoy during Antigua and Barbuda Culinary Month in May.
The month-long celebration invites travellers to connect with the destination through food – from chef-led dining experiences to restaurant specials and dine-around experiences during Restaurant Week, ‘Eat Like A Local’ tours, and the Food Art and Beverage Festival on May 23. https://www.antiguabarbudaculinarymonth.com/
