Christians Group to Protest Statue They Say Contradicts Bible. “You Call This Idolatry? Look Inside Your Churches First”

The statue being erected on All Saints Road is said to depict the statue seen in King Nebuchadnezzar’s prophetic dream, recorded in Daniel Chapter 2. This statue was not built for worship it carried deep prophetic significance:

The Head of Gold — represented the Babylonian Empire.

The Chest and Arms of Silver — symbolized the Medo-Persian Empire.

The Belly and Thighs of Bronze — represented the Greek Empire.

The Legs of Iron — signified the Roman Empire.

The Feet of Iron and Clay — pointed to the divided kingdoms of the latter days.

The Stone Cut Without Hands — represented Christ, who will strike the statue and establish an everlasting kingdom that is not built by human hands.

The intention of the statue in the biblical narrative was not for veneration or worship, but to serve as a prophetic symbol of world empires and the coming Kingdom of the Most High through Christ.

Yet, what we are seeing now is a selective outrage. Many in the Christian community are quick to call out this statue as “idolatry,” but remain silent about the very idols sitting inside their own churches crucifixes, Angels, devils, statues of Mary which has its origin in the goddess easter/ oestrous aka queen of heaven , crosses, and carved figures of saints that people kneel before, pray to, or venerate.

This is clear hypocrisy. Exodus 20:4–5 says plainly:

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath… Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them.”

If we are to be truly consistent with Scripture, then the same energy used to protest this statue must be applied within the walls of every church. The crosses, statues, and images that contradict the commandment must also come down.

Idolatry is not only out there; it is also within.

I call on the nation to stand boldly and call out idolatry wherever it exists not selectively, but completely so that the Most High may be worshipped in spirit and in truth, as Christ declared in John 4:24:

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

Let us be consistent, not hypocritical.

    Shalom
