JESSICA ZOUETR
The Antigua and Barbuda Bar Association proudly congratulates Ms. Jessica Zouetr, Attorney-at-Law , on being selected as a recipient of the 2026 Nicole Sylvester Memorial Scholarship, awarded by the OECS Bar Association.
Called to the Bar in November 2023, Ms. Zouetr holds a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from The University of the West Indies and a Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School. She currently serves as Deputy Registrar and Legal Officer at the Antigua and Barbuda Department of Marine Services and Merchant Shipping (ADOMS).
An active member of the Antigua and Barbuda Bar Association, Ms. Zouetr is also the Immediate Past President of the National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda and has demonstrated a strong commitment to youth empowerment, leadership and community service.
The scholarship honours the legacy of the late Nicole O. M. Sylvester, the youngest and first female President of the OECS Bar Association, and recognises young attorneys who demonstrate professional excellence, community service and active involvement in their local Bar Associations.
Reflecting on the scholarship and her conference experience, Ms. Zouetr shared:
“I am truly honoured and grateful to receive a scholarship that celebrates the legacy of a woman who broke barriers and paved the way for others within our profession. Attending the OECS Regional Law Conference was an incredibly enriching experience, allowing me to meet, connect with and learn from legal practitioners across the Caribbean.
This year’s conference was especially meaningful with the establishment of a Steering Committee tasked with developing a community for OECS Young Lawyers, which I have the privilege of chairing. I look forward to working alongside fellow young attorneys to foster mentorship, collaboration and greater opportunities across the region.
I am sincerely grateful to the OECS Bar Association for this recognition and the opportunity to continue learning, leading and serving.”
The Association is particularly pleased to celebrate Ms. Zouetr’s receipt of the scholarship and her appointment as Chair of the Steering Committee.
We warmly congratulate Ms. Zouetr on these achievements and wish her continued success as she contributes to the advancement of the legal profession in Antigua and Barbuda and across the wider Caribbean.
