The National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda has concluded its Back-to-School Raffle initiative, using part of the proceeds to support schools across Antigua and Barbuda.

At Newfield Primary School, Grade 5 and 6 students received free eye screenings through a partnership with Eye Mobile Vision Care. The school also received sporting equipment sponsored by Faster Freight Antigua.

The campaign extended to Barbuda, where the Sir McChesney George Secondary School received air-conditioning units. During the visit, the association’s leadership also met with members of the school’s student council.

NYPAAB President Ezekiel Francois, who is also the founder of the Barbuda Council, led the delegation and coordinated the handover with the school’s principal.

The raffle featured more than 50 prizes donated by over 70 businesses across Antigua and Barbuda. Organizers said half of the proceeds from ticket sales was allocated to six schools, including two in Barbuda.

The funds and donations supported programmes and resources in areas including agriculture, art, sports and homework assistance.
