Antigua and Barbuda has once again secured international recognition, earning a nomination as the ‘Caribbean’s Best Emerging Culinary City Destination 2026’, in the World Culinary Awards.
This follows Antigua and Barbuda’s successful win in the same category in 2025 and further solidifies Antigua and Barbuda’s position as a culinary hotspot to watch.
The ‘Caribbean’s Best Emerging Culinary City Destination 2026’ nomination places Antigua and Barbuda among destinations recognised by the World Culinary Awards for their growing culinary appeal and their commitment to culinary excellence, innovation, and authentic food experiences. It highlights locations that are successfully using food as a key driver of tourism, attracting global travellers who seek unique and culturally rich dining experiences.
Antigua and Barbuda Culinary Month Lead, within the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority Shermain Jeremey said, “As Antigua and Barbuda continues to elevate its culinary tourism product, this nomination reinforces Antigua and Barbuda’s position as a must-visit destination for food lovers worldwide.”

Antigua and Barbuda Tourism officials are encouraging residents, and visitors to support the destination by casting their votes for Antigua and Barbuda as the Caribbean’s Best Emerging Culinary City Destination 2026, through the official World Culinary Awards website: Caribbean’s Best Emerging Culinary City Destination 2026 « World Culinary Awards.
Voting officially opened on June 25 and will run until August 14, 2026.
