Cricket West Indies (CWI) has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive leadership by reappointing three women to its board of directors. The move, announced after the first meeting of the new term in Antigua, maintains a significant female presence at the organisation’s highest level.

Debra Coryat-Patton (Trinidad & Tobago), Diann Campbell (Jamaica), and Louise Victor-Frederick (Saint Lucia) will continue as independent directors alongside the re-elected president, Dr. Kishore Shallow, and vice-president, Azim Bassarath.

This marks a second term where CWI’s board will feature three female members, a point the organisation highlights as a key part of its governance strategy.

    • Diann Campbell: Brings nearly 30 years of cricket administration experience, with a focus on strategic development and governance.
    • Louise Victor-Frederick: A Chevening Scholar, she provides expertise in corporate affairs, branding, and public relations.
    • Debra Coryat-Patton: A legal specialist in employment law, intellectual property, and governance.

Hallam Nichols (Barbados), a businessman with extensive regional experience, was also reappointed.

“The reappointment of these outstanding women is a reflection of our deep and unwavering commitment to excellence in governance and gender inclusivity,” said CWI President Dr. Kishore Shallow.

“This is not about tokenism, but a deliberate and ongoing effort to ensure that women’s leadership is not just acknowledged but actively embraced at every level. These women have played and will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of West Indies cricket, ensuring that we move beyond conversation and into meaningful, lasting action.”

The board’s composition is seen as crucial for CWI’s efforts to modernise its governance and drive progress in West Indies cricket.
