Da Squad enjoyed a three-set sweep over Royal Cruisers in the women’s division.

Action in Division 1 of the Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association (ABAVA) competition continued at the sport’s indoor facility at the YMCA Sports Complex on Thursday with wins for Da Squad and Storming Lions.

In the opening clash, Da Squad enjoyed a three-set sweep over Royal Cruisers in the women’s division. The victors delivered a dominant performance, out-spiking Royal Cruisers 25-27 in the first set, 26-24 in the second and 25-19 in the third.

Meanwhile, Storming Lions won by default over Renegades as the much anticipated clash fizzled into disappointment after Renegades were unable to produce a starting line-up. Storming Lions were awarded 25-0 victories across all three sets.

Action continues on Saturday night when Paragons 1 face Stoneville in the women’s division at 7:00pm while the men of Stoneville take on High Flyerz in the feature clash.
