In stark contrast, Spanish Heat dismantled Da Project 109-62 in a one-sided affair. The Heat built an insurmountable 59-25 halftime lead and never looked back.
Sandy Valdez paced a balanced Heat attack with 19 points, while Erwin Rodriguez (18 rebounds) and Maicol Reyes (11 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists) controlled the interior. The Heat’s shooting efficiency (49% from the field) and overwhelming rebounding advantage (71-27) highlighted their complete performance.
Nathan Matthew provided Da Project’s lone bright spot with 19 points, but his team struggled to generate consistent offense against the Heat’s stifling defense.
On Monday, the Division will resume when the Michael Joseph Phoenix will battle Square One Construction United in the first encounter while the Daggers will get the opportunity to bounce back from defeat when they play EZ Fit Flyers.
